Mid & North East Essex Mind Announced as our Nominated Chairty of 2024

We are delighted to be working with Mid & North East Essex Mind as our nominated charity for 2024. Every year Essex Chambers selects a charity to champion and support through our events programme and other fundraising efforts. The services offered by Mind are vitally important to ensure that anyone in the region impacted by poor mental health gets the support they need.

Now, more than ever, it is clear there must be a greater understanding around mental health, especially in the workplace. Employers have a responsibility to ensure their workers feel supported and can access the right help when needed. Mid & North East Essex Mind offer this support to individuals as well as providing award winning training on workplace wellbeing for employers.

Our CEO, Denise Rossiter, commented saying: “With the stresses and anxieties prevalent in our modern world we are proud to be able to champion the vital work the charity provides to the people of Tendring, Colchester, Maldon, Braintree, and Chelmsford districts. This partnership is particularly important given the pressures faced by businesses in recent turbulent times. We look forward to working with Mid & North East Essex Mind in the coming months.”

Connecting Businesses with the Leader of Harlow Council

It was great to be back welcoming attendees to the fabulous The Harlow Hotel by Accor earlier this month for a brilliant afternoon of conversation and networking. It was a delight to also be joined by the then recently re-elected leader of Harlow Council, Cllr Dan Swords.

Not only was the event a perfect opportunity to explore the fantastic facilities of the hotel, attendees also had the chance to hear directly from the enigmatic young leader on the history of Harlow and how he plans to harness the innovations of the region’s past to shape his vision for the future.

Delicious food was on offer which everyone enjoyed whilst building their networks with the great business represented in the room. Thank you to all those who attended and made this another fantastic event at the hotel.
