As of 1 April Samantha Stent has been promoted to the role of Tax Advisory Partner.

Samantha trained as a Chartered Tax Adviser with one of the big four accounting firms before running her own tax practice for a number of years. Having joined Scrutton Bland in 2021, and becoming an Associate Partner in 2023, her extensive personal tax experience and friendly approach continue to be an invaluable addition to the tax advisory team.
Additionally, Janice Dixon has joined the firm as a Business Advisory Associate Partner in our Colchester office.
Janice brings a wealth of experience, having trained in Colchester and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. She specialises in advising owner-managed businesses, providing them with strategic and financial guidance to support their growth.
These appointments reflect the business’ ongoing commitment to developing its people and attracting top talent to strengthen its leadership team.
Jason Fayers, Managing Partner of Scrutton Bland said: “I’m delighted for Sam and very much look forward to working with Janice. This further strengthening of our leadership team in Colchester, alongside the experienced team from Tile & Co joining us earlier this month, puts us in a fantastic position to continue to support clients across Essex."
The news of this promotion means that the firm - part of the Sumer Group - now have a 17-strong Partner team and comes just shortly after the exciting news of their acquisition of Tile & Co, further expanding their presence in Colchester and the surrounding areas.
