Time is fast running out for businesses in Essex to take part in a new, high-profile art event which is expected to bring thousands of people into Chelmsford.
From 5 July to 9 September, a swarm of decorated giant and mini bee sculptures will be on display in the city’s streets and parks, forming the Buzz in the City art trail. This free, family-friendly art event is a great way for visitors and locals to discover exciting places of interest in Chelmsford.
Businesses have a unique opportunity to sponsor one of the colourful giant bees and have their details clearly visible to everyone following the trail. They will be displayed on the sculpture’s plinth as well as on the art trail’s map, mobile app, social media and website. Sponsors can also offer rewards and prizes to further engage with visitors to their bee.
Buzz in the City is raising money for Farleigh Hospice. The charity is working with Chelmsford For You – the City’s Business Improvement District – to organise this event, with the support of Chelmsford City Council.
Farleigh recently announced the two headline sponsors for Buzz in the City which are Teledyne and Fisher Jones Greenwood Solicitors.
Gregory John, Partner and Head of Private Client at Fisher Jones Greenwood, explained why they are sponsoring Buzz in the City and happily supporting Farleigh Hospice. He said, “Fisher Jones Greenwood is delighted to support Farleigh Hospice and their Buzz in the City art trail. Throughout my professional career, I have had the privilege of working closely with Farleigh Hospice and have witnessed first-hand the incredible impact they have on Chelmsford and the surrounding area. Both personally and professionally, I know how invaluable their work is in providing compassionate care and support to those in need. We are proud to contribute to such a meaningful cause and help ensure that Farleigh Hospice can continue their vital services for our community.”
There are a limited number of bees available to sponsor.
