Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is proud to confirm the continuation of the long-standing partnership with Frank G Gates Ltd, a local Ford dealer, which has generously provided a new Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid. This marks the sixth consecutive year of Gates’ support for EHAAT’s critical work.
The handover took place at EHAAT’s North Weald airbase, where representatives from Gates presented the keys to the charity’s team. The new vehicle, featuring EHAAT’s distinctive Flight for Life Lottery branding, will assist the charity’s staff in their essential operations.
The new Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid is a vital tool for EHAAT’s charity staff, enabling efficient travel between airbases, fundraising offices, shops, and community events. This continued support helps EHAAT maintain its commitment to reducing environmental impact, as the Kuga allows for electric driving, in line with the charity’s sustainability goals.
Jonathan Ager, Deputy CEO and Director of Finance at EHAAT, expressed his gratitude: “We’re extremely thankful for Gates’ ongoing support. Having reliable and eco-friendly transportation is essential to our day-to-day operations, and this generous gesture allows us to continue making a positive impact both for our patients and the environment.”
Jack Greenall, Director & Operations Director of Frank G Gates Ltd, commented: “We’ve proudly supported EHAAT for several years now and understand the critical role they play in the community. It’s an honour to provide another vehicle to assist them in their crucial, life-saving work, and we’re pleased to continue being part of their journey.”
EHAAT, which operates without direct NHS funding, relies on the backing of the local community and corporate supporters like Gates to fund its mission of delivering pre-hospital emergency care to people in need across Essex, Hertfordshire, and beyond. The introduction of the new Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid will support the charity’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint while maintaining charitable operational efficiency.
