Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP (FJG) has significantly strengthened its Wills, Planning and Probate team with the appointment of Clare Moreton as a new partner.
With over two decades of dedicated experience in private client work, Clare brings a wealth of expertise to enhance the firm's capabilities in complex estate planning and management.
Clare has dedicated her 22-year career to private client work, establishing particularly high levels of proficiency in wills, lasting powers of attorney, court of protection matters, probates, trusts and tax planning.
Commenting on her new role, Clare said: “I am very excited to have joined a great team at FJG that is well known in East Anglia for its expertise and professionalism.
“Having worked across Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique legal needs of clients in the region.”
She continued: “This role will enable me to use that insight while applying my knowledge and practical experience to provide comprehensive advice to clients and bolster the team's ability to handle intricate cases.
“I am eager to contribute to the team’s success and help expand our range of services.”
As a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a fully accredited member of Lifetime Lawyers (previously Solicitors for the Elderly), Clare also brings specialised expertise in later life planning and estate management.
These credentials, combined with her extensive experience, will enable FJG to offer an even higher level of service to clients dealing with sensitive and complex personal matters.
Recognising the strategic importance of this appointment, Greg John, Partner and Head of Wills, Planning and Probate at FJG, expressed his enthusiasm: “I am delighted to have Clare join our private client team. She brings a valuable wealth of knowledge and experience to our already talented department, which will allow us to go from strength to strength as we look to widen our client offering.”
Clare will be primarily based at the firm’s Braintree office, where she aims to expand FJG’s Wills, Trusts and Probate services. She will also provide weekly support to the Chelmsford team to strengthen the firm’s regional capabilities on a wider scale.
Clare's legal journey began in 1990 at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, where she obtained her law degree and completed her Legal Practice Course. She then completed her training contract with Attwater Liell in Loughton (now Attwater Jameson Hill).
FJG’s CEO, Paula Fowler welcomed Clare to the team: “It’s rewarding to know that we can attract top talent to our firm. Clare's background aligns perfectly with our firm's values and strategic goals, and we look forward to the positive impact she will have on our practice.”
